But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. —Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
Beloved, have you ever prayed about something and wondered if God heard you? Have you been waiting for direction, or asked for help, and all you seem to get is silence? Well, if you’re in that position today, I have good news for you. Worry no more, because God heard you from the very first day you started speaking to Him.
No matter the silence you think you are getting right now, I admonish you to keep praying and don’t give up on coming to God. Continue bringing Him your requests, your hopes, your questions, and even your expectations, but do it in faith. Remember our opening text, Hebrews 11:6. It reminds us that if we are going to please God and receive from Him the expectations of our heart, we must believe that He is God, we must approach Him in faith, and we must believe that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.
So I encourage you today to keep coming to God in faith, knowing very well that He can be trusted and that He truly cares about you. But remember that seeking God is not only something we do when we need an answer; it’s part of knowing Him each day. You can seek God in simple ways, and you can do it for everything that concerns you. How, you might ask? It’s simple! Create time and a safe space to pray and present your heart’s desire before Him.
Spend time reading the Bible, and as you do, let the Scriptures persuade and comfort you. Ask Him, “Father, what would You have me do next?” Then listen, and consider what He would say. Be like Habakkuk the prophet, who said:
I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. —Habakkuk 2:1 (NKJV)
Did you see that? So don’t just pray; listen and observe. You don’t have to understand the whole plan before taking one good step, but at least pay attention to the direction He may be pointing you in.
As you do this, it is also important to remember what our opening text does not say. It doesn’t promise that God will give us everything we ask for, exactly when we ask for it. Faith isn’t a way to control God. We seek Him because He is worthy of our trust, and because His guidance and love matter, even while we’re still waiting.
So if you’ve been busy, distracted, or discouraged, begin again today. Come to God just as you are. Keep praying, keep learning from His Word, and follow His divine counsel and guidance, and your life will not remain the same. Praise God!

Father, I am grateful for Your encouraging words to me today. O Lord, help me to keep seeking You. Teach me to trust Your wisdom, even when I don’t have all the answers, and as I do this, let divine solutions begin to manifest, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
