“…if the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth….” —Ecclesiastes 11:3 (NKJV)

According to science, it was discovered that before rain occurs, there is first evaporation which happens as a result of the heat of the sun coming on the oceans and lakes. After which, the evaporation remains as vapour in the atmosphere and gradually forms a cloud that ends up as raindrops. Now, something I want you to take note of here is that, before rain occurs, there is a process that makes it happen. First, is the heat of the sun which comes on the oceans and lakes, and then the water in the ocean evaporates towards the sky and condenses to form a cloud which ends up as raindrops. It does not just happen; it is a process that takes a little while but in the long run, the earth receives rain because of the evaporation that has taken place. Now, in the same way, there is a physical process that brings physical rain, that is how there is a spiritual process that brings rains of blessings into our lives and it is your responsibility to always engage in this process to keep your cloud full of rain. You might say but what is this process called? Well, it is the art of praying and seed sowing. These two things are very important in the life of a believer. Because prayers and seed sowing put you in a place of consistent supply. There are other spiritual activities that help, but our emphasis is on these two exercises that have the ability to transform your life to no end.

When you take a look at most of the men of old in the Bible whom God blessed tremendously and made them outstanding, you will notice that they were all men of prayers and sacrifice. Papa Abraham was a good example of this description. He was a very blessed man who walked with God in sincerity, trust and obedience. But behind His blessings, you will see relationships (prayers) and sacrifice. He was a man who prayed and had a very serious relationship with God, to the point that “…God said, shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing…” Genesis 18:17. We also see how God asked Him to sacrifice Isaac, his only son, and Abraham went for it without hesitation (Genesis 22:1-19) which further took the blessings of God upon his life to another level. Beloved, if you must enjoy consistent rains of God’s blessings, you must be a man or woman of prayers and sacrifice. Prayer creates relationships and sacrifice reveals trust and both of them give birth to provision. Therefore, I encourage you today, to develop your prayer life and be willing to give God your best, which first of all, is your life. You should abandon your life to God by accepting what Jesus Christ did for you on the Cross and accepting Him as Lord and saviour. A man who is willing to do these things has signed up for God’s continued blessings. Praise God!
