As a Christian, one of the main forms of persecution you’ll face regarding your faith comes when preaching the gospel of Christ. Many people will try to undermine you, silence you, or make you feel inferior. Some will even claim that Jesus or God isn’t real. People will say anything to discredit and tear down the gospel, but you mustn’t let these attacks move you.
Understand that people even doubted Jesus Himself. That’s why the chief priests, Sadducees, and Pharisees conspired to arrest and kill Him. So, don’t be surprised when people try to silence you in any way they can. Keep your attention on your vision and your mind focused on your assignment.
Look away from those whose sole purpose is to undermine your work because their opinions don’t matter. Pay no attention to mockery, tongue-lashings, slanderous talk, or any opposition as you carry out the assignment given to you by the Lord. Always remember that you’re distinct and your calling is unique; therefore, no one needs to understand you.
When the early church began, authorities also tried to silence Peter and John, but the apostles refused to back down. Instead, they asked, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” — Acts 4:19-20 (NKJV). They didn’t cower in the face of threats. After their release, they returned to their companions and reported everything that had happened, then raised their voices in prayer, asking for boldness to preach the gospel like never before (Acts 4:23-31).
This is the exact attitude we ought to maintain as Christians. Refuse to let anyone dissuade you from preaching the gospel of Jesus. People will try, but your responsibility is to turn a deaf ear to their threats and keep doing what God called you to do. Remember, necessity is laid upon you to preach the gospel (1 Corinthians 9:16). Hallelujah!

Prayer
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for saving me to save others. I thank You that no matter what anyone does to discourage me from preaching the gospel, I refuse to be discouraged because necessity is laid upon me to preach the gospel, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
