“After Lot had gone, the Lord said to Abram, ‘Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession.’” —Genesis 13:14-15 (NLT)
In the kingdom of God, we must apply certain principles to lay hold of everything we require and desire in this life. One of those principles is possessing with the eyes of your spirit. The Bible tells us that after Abram and Lot separated, God told Abram to look as far as he could see in every direction. Then, He made a profound statement: “I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession” (Genesis 13:15, NLT). God wanted to bless Abram with great possessions, but first, He instructed him to lift his eyes and look.
God was getting ready to bless Abram, but the extent of the blessing depended completely on what Abram could envision. Abram had a responsibility to look and see. When he did, he saw, believed God, and moved to settle in the land. Importantly, when he looked, he didn’t just see with his physical eyes; he also saw the blessings with the eyes of his spirit. If he hadn’t done what God asked, the blessings would have been there, but he couldn’t have laid hold of them.
Today, the same principle applies when it comes to walking in the blessings of God. The Bible says God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, meaning His blessings for us in Christ Jesus are real and available. However, to walk in them and enjoy them, you have to see with the eyes of your spirit as far as you can see. If you can envision it, you can possess it. Refuse to focus on the wrong things because what you see is what you get.
If you see failure, you will end up with failure, but if you see success, you will experience success. This is a principle you must consciously apply to reap the tremendous blessings available to us in Christ Jesus. So, my question for you is: what can you see? Don’t sit around making excuses or wondering why things haven’t worked out for you, because that means you are looking at the wrong things. Put those distractions aside, lift your eyes, and look as far as you can see.
Where you finally end up in life depends completely on what you are able to see from where you are right now. I encourage you to look as far as you can see. Hallelujah!

Prayer
All-powerful and ever-living Father, I thank You for the Word today. I thank You for giving me the ability to see with the eyes of the spirit. Therefore, I decree this day that I am seeing the right things and possessing the right things by the power of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus. Amen!
