A major prayer the Apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesian church was that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened. He wanted them to know the hope of God’s calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and the exceeding greatness of His power toward them. Paul prayed this because they needed to come to terms with everything God had made available to them in Jesus. They needed to understand the magnitude of God’s power.
