“…Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No comes to the father except through Me…”
John 14:6 (NKJV)
Having established two main significances of the words of our Lord Jesus Christ in our opening text, we are going to be looking at another major point that needs to be taken seriously and that is Jesus being the way that leads to eternity with God. Again, there are people who would argue this but as Christians, we don’t because we know that this is the truth. We know that the only way for a man to spend his eternity peacefully with God after this present life is to be in Christ Jesus. Why? Because the Bible says “…whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life…” John 3:16 (NKJV). But “…He who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God…”- John 3:18 (NKJV). Did you see that? This lets us know that Jesus being the way is our hope and ticket to life after death.
Therefore take this truth seriously and let it be your comfort. Always know that your life in this present time and in the one to come has been taken care of because Jesus paid the ultimate price for you. Sometimes, the thought of death may want to put fear in your heart, but refuse to let it in because there is already a solution to death and life after death. And that solution is Jesus Christ. When the time for the end comes, the Bible says, “…many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt…” Daniel 12:2 (NKJV) for, “…the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first….and thus we shall always be with the Lord…” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NKJV). So there is hope to be raised back to life after this world. There is hope for a blissful eternity with God because Jesus Christ is the way. So I admonish you today to take this truth seriously. Jesus Christ is not just your Lord but your way to all of God’s plans and purposes. He is your life while on this earth and still your life after this world. Refuse to allow the devil to make you believe otherwise because indeed Jesus Christ is the way and you are in Him. And as long as you abide in Him, you will never miss your way in any area of life. Praise God!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
Glorious Father, I thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ, I thank you for all you have done for me in Christ Jesus. I thank you for providing for me the way to all your plans and purposes for my life. So I declare today that none of your plans and purposes will pass me by because I know the way and am in the way. Praise God!
