“…David said, the Lord, who has delivered me from the paw of the Lion and the Paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this philistine…” 1 Samuel 17:37 (NKJV)

Sometimes, when the challenges of life come very strong at us, some people find themselves getting very worried and disturbed thinking their whole world is crumbling. But they never stop to remember that when they were in worse conditions in the past, they came out of it through the help of God. The pressure of the current situation gets so much at them to the point that they completely forget that the God who saved them the last time is still ready to save them again, if only they will just look up to Him for Help. Well, I do not know what you are currently going through in your life, but I want you to know that all hope is not lost. If God delivered you from worse conditions in the past, He is willing to help you again today. But you must remember the things He has done for you in the past and trust him to do even more for you today. The bible recorded that when David was about to go to battle with Goliath of Gath, everybody questioned his ability including Saul the King. As a matter of fact, “…Saul said to David, you are not able to go against this philistine to fight with him, for you are a youth and he is a man of war from his youth…”1 Samuel 17:33 (NKJV). But David remembered, the deliverance of the Lord in the past and said, the Lord, who has delivered me from the paw of the Lion and the Paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this philistine…”1 Samuel 17:37 (NKJV). Imagine the audacity!

He knew that if God could save him in the past, now will not be any different. This trait is something that many Christians do not have today. All they do is whine and grind and believe that their lives has come to an end. But hear me child of God, God has kept you all these years and delivered you from several issues both the ones you knew about and the ones you didn’t know about, and is still ready to do more for you. You only responsibility, is to acknowledge what He has done for you in the past and let it be your confidence today. Remember when David reminded himself of what the Lord has done, he was charged up and motivated to go against the philistine and defeat him. Believe me David did not win that battle when he let the stone go, he won the battle when he remembered what God did for him in the past.

So take time out today to remember all the troubles God delivered you from yesterday, and let it be your confidence today and tomorrow. If you can do this, you will secure victory in your present condition. Halleluiah!

TODAY’S RHEMA

David did not win that battle when he let the stone go, he won the battle when he remembered what God did for him in the past!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for reminding me that you are always there for me, I thank you for helping me realize that if you did it before for me, you will do it again. Therefore, I choose this day to cast my worries away and put my faith in you, your word and your power and as I do this, I win in all things no matter the issues that comes my way in Jesus name. Halleluiah!
