2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Do you sometimes think that God is angry with you? Do you sometimes think that God does not want to hear your prayer? Are you running from God because you feel that you are not living a life that is pleasing in His sight? Well, I have got news for you, run no more because God has already made peace with you through Jesus Christ our Lord. His death, burial and resurrection qualified you for this and believe me there is nothing you will do today that will make God cast you out. He has already made peace with you and is stretching out His to you to come to Him. You might say, “with all my messes?” Oh yes, with all your messes, God still loves you. With your kind of lifestyle God still loves you, because He has made peace with you. But the question is, have you made peace with Him? This is where the problem is. Most people have not come to terms with the fact that God is not angry with them any more. They have not come to understand that God is not willing to stay far from them. So they keep running and going far from God and in the process endangering their lives because they are running away from the one who can preserve their lives.
But here is what the Bible says, “…who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? …for I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord..” Romans 8:35, 38 (NKJV). Did you see that? That’s how much you are loved by God. But the question is, will you believe God and trust in His love for you? Will you stop being conscious of his judgement and start getting conscious of his love? Well, I want to encourage you today to embrace God’s love for you. He loved you so much and He sent His son Jesus to come take your place. Now you are his beloved, draw closer to Him and watch your life move from glory to glory. You might say, so what happens to my lifestyle? Embrace Jesus first, and He will take care of your lifestyle, He has the experience and the power to do that. Now, is this a license to live in sin? That’s not the idea behind this article, the idea is, make peace with God because He has already made peace with you. When you do, every other thing regarding your life begins to fall in place. Praise God!
