A Man praying holding a Holy Bible.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing. —1 Thessalonians 5:16–17 (NKJV)

One thing is to have a vision; another is to write it down; another is to pursue it. Most importantly, though, you have to pray over your vision, because without prayer, the chances of that vision coming to fruition are very slim. I know you might say, “But how?” I will explain.

When a man has a vision, it doesn’t come to pass without a fight. The reason is that, while you are excited about what you want to achieve, the devil is not happy about your vision. He knows that if you succeed in that vision, your life will be better. So he will do all he can to frustrate that vision and make you think it was never meant to be. Most people have given up on their dreams and visions because of this. However, this is where prayer comes into play.

When you make it a point of duty to pray over your vision on a regular basis, it doesn’t matter what the devil tries to do against you; he will not prevail because of your prayers. Whether you like it or not, prayer is one advantage that you have over the devil. If you are a man who prays, you will always be an obstacle to the devil; you will always be a stumbling block to his plans and activities. And if you have a very strict and disciplined prayer life, you will keep the devil away from you for good. Therefore, make a conscious decision to pray over the visions you have.

Another reason why you should pray over your vision is that prayer helps you stay inspired and motivated to do what must be done concerning your dreams and goals. Prayer also opens you up to the right ideas that are needed to achieve your goal. Most importantly, prayer amplifies your efforts, links you up with the right people, and causes you to have the right contacts. So praying over your vision cannot be overemphasized. It is not optional; it is a must.

Therefore, include prayers for your vision as a major part of your agenda for the remaining part of the year. Jesus said:

…men always ought to pray and not lose heart. —Luke 18:1 (NKJV)

Do this and watch your life move in an exponential way this year. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

A vision that receives prayers often can never die; it will flourish in a dynamic way!

Prayer

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the vision You have laid in my heart for this year. I decree that the spirit of prayer takes hold of me now, and as I pray, my vision is coming to pass in the name of Jesus. Amen!
