“…in their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps…” Proverbs 16:9 (NIV)

I have a dream! This was a quote from a very popular man, one of the most respected men in our world today by the name Martin Luther King Jr. He said, “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed”. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. I have a dream that the Red Hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with words of interposition and nullification- one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and little black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers. I have a dream today.” You may be reading this article and you are wondering “What a ridiculous dream!” But guess what, there was a time when freedom was just a dream in America and slavery was the order of the day. Today you think it’s ridiculous because Martin Luther King Jr. dared to dream, and dared to speak out his dream. As at that time, it was an impossible thing to accomplish, but today it is the norm. What used to be a dream is now a reality.

Question, how big is your dream? What is in your mind? Is it big enough to shake you and shake the world? Beloved, I dare you to dream because in your dreams lies that hope of accomplishment. In your dreams lies the establishment of tomorrow. A man who has no dreams for tomorrow has no future to step into. Tomorrow’s future is determined by today’s dream. Now, am not asking you to just dream, am asking you to dream prayerfully and see God bring your dreams to pass. And always remember that as long as you can dream it, God can achieve it, as long as you can dream it, God can give it to you. The book of Proverbs says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3 (NIV). So go ahead and dream today. God bless you!

TODAY’S RHEMA

Tomorrow’s future is determined by today’s dream!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Dear Father, I thank you, because you are all-powerful, and without you, I can achieve nothing. I thank you because my dreams and my hopes are big, but they are not bigger than you. Thank you, Lord as you help me achieve all things in Jesus name. Amen!
