“…giving thanks to the father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light…” Colossians 1:12 (NKJV)

Have you ever been whispered to by the devil that you don’t qualify for that thing you are asking God for? Have you ever been made to believe that to receive anything from God you must qualify? Or do you personally feel within you that God can’t really bless you because of all the bad things you have done? Well, if you have been through all these, you are not alone. The devil uses these thoughts to taunt the people of God and over the years he has succeeded in keeping people away from their blessings because somehow, He has managed to get them to think that to qualify for God’s best, you must be very righteous, holy and without blame. And amazingly many of God’s people have come to believe this. So, they live their lives every day trying to qualify for God’s blessings but no matter how they try, they still find themselves coming short in one area or the other because man on his own cannot qualify himself. (Read Isaiah 64:6)

Beloved, it is important to know that God does not bless people based on who is doing good or bad, or who is living right or wrong. The Bible records that God “…makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust…” Matthew 5:45. So His blessings are not based on these criteria. He doesn’t bless people based on human performance. He blesses people based on grace which the finished works of Jesus Christ have brought to us (John 1:17) for no man can ever qualify for God’s blessings and acceptance by His own works except through the works of our Lord Jesus Christ. For it is written “…by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works…” Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV). Meaning, we receive from God not by our performance but by the performance of Jesus Christ. His finished works are imputed to those who believe in Him and in the sacrifice He offered.

So, if you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, you qualify for God’s best. Stop trying to please God, Jesus already did. If you want to please God accept what He sent Jesus Christ to do for you, believe in it and live conscious of it because that is the secret you need to please God and live a life of victory. Now, this does not mean you should go ahead and live a wayward life, what I am saying is God’s best don’t come to us by human performance but by the finished works of Jesus. Look unto Him and His works and all that you will ever need in life will be granted you. Refuse to allow the devil lie to you because as far as God is concerned, you are qualified for His best in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! If you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life, I advise you to consider doing so, because that is what qualifies you for God’s best.

TODAY’S RHEMA

You receive from God not because you qualify but because He qualified you!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the blood of Jesus Christ that speaks better things. I thank you for qualifying me through the finished works of Jesus Christ. I choose this day to set my focus on what Jesus Christ has done, for in it lies my provision, protection and all that I could ever wish for in Jesus name. Amen!
