“…. Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work…” John 4:34 (KJV)

In our opening text, we see that our Lord Jesus Christ was very quick to define what His mission and purpose was on earth, which He quoted saying, “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work.” Jesus in the body as a man, understood His purpose and did not take His eyes away from His assignments. He spoke about it, acted accordingly and in the end, He accomplished His mission. Beloved, in the same way, this is how we ought to keep our eyes on the mission so that we can accomplish it too. But sadly, that is not the case. Today, you find a lot of Christians who have taken their eyes away from their assignments, you find Christians who can’t even define what their purpose is. To make matters worse, you find Christians who know God has given them assignments but they are too busy to attend to the assignment or work and neither do they intend to finish it.

Beloved, this shouldn’t be the case for you, so  I write to you today to help you understand that you have an assignment. You have a mission to accomplish in Christ Jesus. I know this is not what many of God’s people want to hear but it is the truth. There is a call upon your life and you must understand that the salvation of many hangs on you focusing on your assignment and finishing it. Stop living your life like an ordinary man. You are not an ordinary man. Stop living your life like you have no one to answer to because you will answer to God about what He sent you to do and what you did in order to accomplish them. Beloved, it’s time to define your purpose in the kingdom of God, it’s time to focus on your assignment, it’s time to save those whose salvation is tied to you. It’s time to define who sent you and what He sent you to do. It’s time to do the work of He that sent you and to finish it. Be like Paul, the Apostle who said, “…necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel…”1 Corinthians 9:16 (NKJV). When you take your assignment seriously, many receives salvation because you said “Yes” and you in turn get rewarded too for saying “Yes”. So get to work and give your assignment the attention that it requires. God bless you.

TODAY’S RHEMA

Don’t play light on your assignment in the kingdom of God, focus on it and finish it!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Gracious and All-Powerful God! I thank you for all that you have done in my life. I thank you for counting me worthy and trusting me to do your work. I thank you because doing your work oh God is a privilege, and I’m honored to be given this rare privilege. I declare that I’m focused, I understand the reason for my life, I accept my mission from you and I declare that nothing will stop me from finishing it in Jesus name. Amen.
