“…and many more believed because of his own word; And said unto the woman, now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard Him ourselves, and know that this is indeed Christ, the Savior of the world…” John 4:41-42 (KJV)
Our Lord Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price and raised a people for God, a people of God and a people born of God. This is my personal conviction as I work my walk with God. The question is, as you work your walk with God, what do you believe? What runs through your mind? How have you believed? Have you given yourself the opportunity to be taught so that you can not only believe but know what to believe? The Christendom is full of people who think common sense should prevail over spiritual things. But it doesn’t work that way. Right from the beginning, come sense cannot be used to figure out the ways of God. The existence of God Himself, His omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience nature are not found in the senses. The birth of Jesus Christ by a virgin cannot be figured out by the senses. But it doesn’t make it false. So, if you want to believe the word of God, put away common sense and trace the workings of God from the very beginning of His works, where He looked at darkness and said, “…let there be light: and there was light…” Genesis 1:3 (KJV).
Now, the significance of all these is that, if you want to follow God, you have to be convinced beyond all reasonable doubt. You have to follow God by the Spirit and not be the senses. If you follow God with the senses, you will walk in doubt and errors, because God cannot be found in the senses. But when you follow God by the Spirit, you will walk in faith and be fully convinced in your walk with God. Therefore, I encourage you to quit trying to figure out God with the senses and the best way to do this, is to yield yourself to the word of God. It is the best way to be awakened to the realities of God and be fully convinced about the ways and statutes of God. It is the best way to be awakened to realities and the foundations of the Gospel. So, give yourself to the ministry of the word and nurture your conviction through the word of God. Make it a personal responsibility to work on this, because you and you alone are responsible for making you stand firm in your conviction. Hallelujah!

CONFESSIONS FOR THE DAY
Dear Heavenly Father! Thank you for the gift of your word. Thank you for making the word of God available so that we have easy access to learn and know more. Thank you for the ministry of the word of God which you made available for our enlightenment. Even as I study your word daily, I declare that I receive insight and faith that I need to be who you want me to be in Jesus name. Amen!
