“…. although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus….”I Timothy 1:13-14 (NKJV)

The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is an announcement of good news and hope and the earlier sinners and righteous men, unbelievers and believers understand it this way the better for all of us. One thing is sure, God has opened His heart to every one of us, both rich and poor, and whatever caliber of man you are. God says just come. To this I say to everyone, “Come, Oh you people of God. Come to a place where there is grace and forgiveness. Come to the one who knows you and compassionately understands you and looks beyond your mistake. Come to the sovereign Lord who reigns in all the earth.” This is an important message for you, who thinks you are so bad and can’t be used by God. This is good news and hope for those of you who seem to have lost track.

A really close look at the opening scripture tells you everything about the grace of God which leads to repentance and forgiveness. God is available to everyone and this was Paul’s message as he gave himself as an example. And in trying to buttress his point, he said, “…this is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life…” I Timothy 1:15-16 NKJV. Wow, did you see that? It’s really so easy because all Jesus is asking you to do is believe and you receive this grace that helps you avoid eternal damnation. A grace that gives you righteousness and eternal life as a gift. Therefore, if you are reading this, and you haven’t received Jesus into your life, don’t wait any longer, invite Him into your life. And you have received Jesus into your life already, let your faith rest on Him and on all that He has done for you and your life will never remain the same. Hallelujah!
