“He who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me, you can do nothing”- John 15:5
In life today, there are lots of folks who want to walk in the blessings of God but are not able to because they lack the secret. They have done all they can, nothing seems to be happening in their lives because they do not know the steps to take or what to do, to walk in the blessings of God. They have gone from one place to another, from one church to another looking for the blessings of God but they are still not able to find it because they do not understand the concept of God’s blessings. In the first place, the blessings of God are just not everywhere. It is not a perishable product that can be gotten from the market. It is a spiritual virtue that has principles. If you put the principles to work then the blessings will be released. As long as the principles are not put to work, walking in God’s blessing is not possible. The question is what are the principles? First, you must understand that the blessing of God is not found just everywhere. It is not in a house, or in an organization or in the midst of a group of people. It is found in a person and that person is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He is the epitome of the blessings; He is the one that connects us to the Abrahamic blessings. (Galatians 3:29). To walk in the blessings of God, you must be in Christ Jesus, that is you must have confessed Him as the Lord of your life. When you have confessed Him as Lord, He becomes your access to God blessings. Unless and until this happens, you can’t walk in the blessings of God.
Secondly, you must abide in Him whom you have confessed as Lord. To abide here means to dwell in Him and dwelling in Him means loving Him, keeping His word and doing what His word says. In John 15:4 Jesus Christ said Himself, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me”. Further in verse 5, He says, “He who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me, you can do nothing” In verse 7, He also said, “if you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you”. From this you, you discover that when you abide in Him, you bear much fruit. When you take a hold of these two points and apply them, you do not need to go anywhere seeking for the blessing, because right wherever you are, it manifests in you because the principles are at work. So, take advantage of these two secrets of the blessings of God and transform your life with it. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for revealing the secrets of your blessings to me, I take advantage of this word today and I make good with it in the name of Jesus. In all that I do, I choose to abide in Christ and keep His words. I choose to obey Him and do what He says I should do. I choose to love Him from the depth of my heart and follow Him with a loyal heart in Jesus name. Amen!
