“…he could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them…” Mark 6:5 (NKJV).
In your Christian walk this year, one of the things you must do for yourself is to get rid of unbelief because if you don’t, it can go a long way to hinder you from reaching your zenith in life. It can go as far as preventing you from receiving your miracles. Others who are new in the faith will be having wonderful testimonies, but you won’t be able to have new testimonies because you haven’t addressed this issue of unbelief. You might say, but I am really trying to work on it. Well, you don’t have to try, just do it because it is in your best interest. The Bible tells us the story of how Jesus Christ went to His hometown to see if he could heal the people there, but He could not because it is written that “…he could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them…” Mark 6:5 (NKJV). Did you see that? He couldn’t do mighty works there because the people had unbelief. So even though the power of God to heal was present, they couldn’t take advantage of it because of their unbelief.
Now, when Jesus saw the way they responded, the Bible recorded that “…He marvelled because of their unbelief…” Mark 6:5 (NKJV) Meaning, Jesus Christ was surprised at their level of unbelief and guess what, it cost them their healing. Beloved, you can get that healing, or that job that you so desire, you can achieve or attain that height you want to attain in your life this year, but you must make a conscious decision to get rid of unbelief by all means because it is a limiting factor in your faith walk. Now you might say, how do I get rid of unbelief? It is not difficult. All you need to do is to feed your faith and starve your doubt. How? By hearing the word of God on a daily basis, for the Bible says, “…faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God…” Romans 10:17 (NKJV). The more you hear the word of the Lord, the weaker unbelief becomes in your life. So, make it a point of duty to strengthen your faith and unbelief will by default find its way out of your life. Praise God.

Father, I am so grateful for the quality of word I have heard today, I decree in the name of Jesus, that every seed of unbelief is uprooted from me and my faith is growing by the day and delivering to me great results. Hallelujah!
