“…Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done…” Luke 22:41 (NKJV

Most of the time, we go through certain situations that we really wish could just go away, but I discovered in my walk thus far with God, that there are some situations that will not go away even though you desire it to go away. These are the kinds of situations that you have to go through the process because you need the process to be enthroned or promoted. I know that this might sound a little odd, but that is just the truth. There are some situations that are meant to come and pass away after we have prayed, fasted and sown seeds. But there are some others that won’t go by prayer and fasting, they only go away after it has stayed till its full course.

One of such examples is the one that our Lord Jesus Christ went through. The Bible recorded that He prayed over and over again when He knew that His crucifixion was at hand, but in the end, He said, “…Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done…” Luke 22:41 (NKJV). Did you see that? Even though He wanted the cup to pass away, He knew that the will of the Father had to be done. And guess what? After He had gone through the process, He received a promotion and a name that was above every other name. The Bible recorded saying “…being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father…” Philippians 2:9-10 (NKJV). From this, you see that some situations are meant for you to go through the process, so that you can be promoted after you have gone through the process. So, I encourage you today to become mindful of this truth. When you find yourself in some of this kind of situation, don’t fret or get discouraged, face the issue with boldness and confidence and you will always come out victoriously. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Father, I am grateful for opening my eyes to the truth. I choose this day to stay conscious of this reality and not get discouraged when I find myself in such a situation in Jesus’ name. Amen!
