“…for even when we were with you, we commanded you this; if anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies…” 2 Thessalonians 3:10-11 (NKJV)

Beloved, do you want to live everyday of life in abundance? Do you want to forever have an advantage over lack? It’s possible but you must go with the principle that encourages us to be gainfully employed. Now, when I mean gainfully employed, I am not talking about being employed by someone alone. Am talking about being actively involved in something that generates money for you. It could be your own personal venture or someone else’s venture, but the bottom line is that you should not be idle. Beloved, Idleness is the main cause of lack. As long as your hand is idle, it will always be empty. But if it is engaged in doing something productive, you can be sure of a regular income. The Bible says, “…laziness casts one into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger…” Proverbs 19:15 (NKJV). Meaning, idleness will make you hungry. So it has to be attacked in every way possible. You might say, I tried getting a job but no one was willing to employ me. Well, I do not dispute that fact but do not wait for others to keep you busy. If you do that, you have left your financial life at their mercy. Instead of waiting for someone to employ you, come up with an idea and a means to start earning by yourself. If you can do this, you will eliminate lack completely from your life. You might not immediately become rich but you will not be poor at least. Do not say, “Oh it’s not easy” because you have the mind of Christ and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).

Now, the whole idea of trying to escape idleness might not come easy but if you set your mind to it, you will definitely come up with a lasting solution. So what are you waiting for? Fight lack by engaging your hands in something productive. God bless you!

TODAY’S RHEMA

As long as your hands are idle, they will always be empty!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, therefore I declare that the issue of lack is forever solved in my life. I am productive, fruitful and gainfully employed in the name of Jesus. Amen!
