“…therefore, if anyone is in Christ, He is a new creation…”2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
As you journey this year, one of the things you must be conscious of is who you are in Christ Jesus. If you fail to be conscious of this in your life, the challenges of life will overwhelm you and possibly defeat you. Interestingly, these challenges will always be there for every stage you get to in your Christian walk, but what makes the difference is the consciousness of who you are in Christ Jesus. Your consciousness will help you to stand strong no matter the pressure, your consciousness will help you to maintain your faith no matter the odds, your consciousness will help you to stay calm and organized in the midst of the storm. Therefore, do all you can always remember who you are in Christ Jesus. And just in case you don’t know who you are, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), you are born of God and you have overcome this world (1 John 5:4).
You are the anointed son and daughter of God. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21), and most importantly, you have the life of God in you (1 John 5:13). You have been chosen and ordained to bear fruit, and your fruits are ordained to remain (John 15:16). But the question is, do you believe this? You should because sincerely this is who you are in Christ Jesus, and to crown it all, you have authority in Christ Jesus because you believe in Him who has paid the price for you on the cross of Calvary. Your responsibility now is to live in the consciousness of this truth and use it to wage war and fight your battles. Refuse to allow the devil to take advantage of you because you are not who you used to be before you came to Christ. You are a new man in Christ, and the significance of this is that you have been equipped and empowered to win the battles of this world. So have no fear and walk in the consciousness of your new identity and use your authority in Christ Jesus, and you will always win. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
I know who I am in Christ Jesus, therefore I refuse to back down or cower in the face of adversity. I declare that no matter what comes my way, I will always win by the power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name. Amen!
