“…and the prayer of faith with save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven…”- James 4:15 (NKJV)

Beloved do you do know that prayer can save your life? Do you know that it can bring you out of any challenge that you find yourself? Well, in case you do not know, I am telling you now. The subject of prayer is very popular amongst believers yet it is the most neglected. Many are too busy to pray, while some others are too lazy to pray. They prefer to go from place to place looking for help, than to sit down in their closet and pray for some days. They don’t see how prayers can translate into the solution they are looking for. Well, if you are in any of these categories, I want to encourage you to buckle up because prayer remains one of the surest ways to secure your victory in any situation. When you start praying, it might not look so, but eventually the results you desire will definitely come because prayer is not a waste of time and effort. It is a communion with the Creator of the heavens and the earth. He created you and knows the in’s and out’s of you. He knows the sources of the problems in your life and He knows where the solutions lie. If you would commune with Him for a while, there will definitely be a change in your story. So I admonish you today to take advantage of this truth and do the needful.
The Bible told us the story of King Hezekiah who was sick and near death. One day, he received a message from Prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz saying, “thus says the Lord: set your house in order, for you shall die and not live” 2 Kings 20:1 (NKJV). Instead of panicking, the Bible declares that, “…he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying “remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before you in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in your sight” And Hezekiah wept bitterly”. – 2 Kings 20:2 (NKJV). He didn’t accept the verdict as the final, rather he turned to the Lord and prayed. He understood, the power of prayer and truly he got an immediate response from God. God sent Isaiah to go back to him and said “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you…” 2 Kings 20:5 (NKJV). That’s how powerful prayer can be. If you will take advantage of this and pray with concrete and specific prayer points, it will certainly change your life completely. So get to work now and alter the course of your life through prayers.
