What you give value you to ultimately appreciates in your life and benefits you in so many ways, but what you don’t give value to certainly will not add value to your life. If you must succeed in this world and live a struggle free life, counsel is one thing you must give value to. The bible lets us know in Proverbs 11:14 that “where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety”. Meaning, good counsel is very important in the life of every man. Anyone who wants to live a life of an upward and forward movement must learn not just only to receive counsel but to value them when they are given. It is the key to greatness and success. You can never know it all; it pays to add to what you already know. When you take a look at the above scriptures in Proverbs 11:14, it says where there is no counsel, the people fall…” if you don’t want to fall but stand, then you must go for counsel and treat them with great value.
Over the years, I have witnessed lots of God’s people play down on counsel. They receive counsel and just shrug it off but at the end of the day they start paying a great price because they did not give value to counsel. Is this the kind of life you want to live? Certainly not! Make a conscious decision this day to receive counsel at different stages in your life and give value to them. If you want your plans to go well the way you want it, then receive counsel and value them. Sometimes people don’t bother going for counsel, but your case should be different. Learn to seek counsel from your spiritual guardian in things that are not so clear to you, so that you can receive guidance and when it has been given, lay hold of it tenaciously and value them. In Proverbs 15: 22 (AMP), the bible says “where there is no counsel, purposes are frustrated, but with many counselors they are accomplished”. Before you make major decisions in your life, be wise enough to seek spiritual counsel and accept it when it comes, don’t receive counsel and still go ahead to do the same thing you have in mind. The reason for counsel is so that your own plans could be adjusted and executed to produce the desired results. Purposes and plans are established by counsel; and (only) with good advice make or carry on war (Proverbs 20:18 AMP). So as you carry on with your activities today, hear counsel, receive instruction and accept correction, that you may be wise in the time to come” God bless you!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
Father In the name of Jesus, I receive today’s message as a wise counsel from you oh Lord, and I declare that receiving and placing value on counsel is a part of my life from this day forth in Jesus name. I prophesy that as I receive counsel, I receive grace to produce results in all that I do in Jesus name Amen!
