“..I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified…” Acts 20:32 (NKJV)

As a believer, one of the values you must hold dear in your life is value for the Word of God. I have seen people who don’t really care about this. But as a believer, you must treat it with utmost importance and give it all the attention you can because it can go a long way to change your life and give you the future that you desire. Paul the apostle understood this, and he said, “…I commend you to God and to the Word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified…” Acts 20:32 (NKJV). He knew what the Word of God could do so he had to make this statement. He knew that anyone who would cling on to the Word will certainly come out victoriously. Therefore, I admonish you today to give your attention to the Word of God. Spend time to receive word-based teachings, and also study the scriptures and watch what your life will become. Refuse to neglect the Word, rather cultivate a sincere passion for the Word. When you do, it will equip you with the right knowledge that you require to win in every situation and most importantly, it will make you susceptible to the promptings and leading of the Holy Ghost. Remember the Word of God has a ministry to fulfil in your life. If you give yourself to its ministry, it will minimize your errors and maximize your victories.

So make a conscious decision to give attention to the Word of God, it’s for your own good. Someone might say, but I get bored when studying the Word or listening to the Word, so what should I do? It’s simple, refuse to give in to that feeling because that’s the devil trying to make you disinterested in the Word. Each time you get bored, stay longer with the Word. At first it might look as though you are forcing yourself but if you keeping staying with the Word, you will get used to it and the passion for the Word of God will be kindled on your inside. Therefore, make a conscious decision to stay with the Word against all odds. According to Paul, it “…will build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified…” Acts 20:32 (NKJV). Halleluiah!
