“…for whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith…” 1 John 5:4 (NKJV)

Some years ago, I was driving past a road and I discovered a group of people gathered in one spot, so I became curious. I wanted to know what was going on, so I decided to go closer to know what was happening and behold I saw a young man in his teenage years, hanging on a tree, he had committed suicide and everybody was wondering what must have led to this drastic step. The sight was heartbreaking and it stayed in my heart for days, I just couldn’t take it off my mind. But as I pondered on the whole incident, I realized that what leads to issues like this a lot of times is the inability to hold on. When most people go through certain issues in their lives, the only thing that usually comes to their mind is to give up and just end it. They believe that when they do that all their pains come to an end. Unknown to them that, ending their lives does not solve any problem. It only ends a phase of their lives and takes them into another phase where the struggle is worse than what they had earlier faced.

However, as a Christian, you need to understand that, no matter what you go through or face in life, you must never give up or give in. At all times, you must make a conscious decision to win because you were destined to win and not to fail. It is true that winning does take some time and this is where many people get tempted to quit but believe me, if you try and stay patient, you will certainly have the victory. You might say but sir, what if the situation is very tough? Well, the bible lets us know that we should endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:3) because we are meant to win and not to quit.  Therefore, refuse to have the mind-set of one who quits, rather have the mind-set of one who wins no matter what. You have to understand that whatever you go through was not meant to outlive you, you were meant to outlive it. So, in whatever you go through today, choose to win in that situation, you have all it takes. No matter how tough the situation might be, understand that you are tougher because of who you are in Christ Jesus. The bible says whatever is born of God overcomes the world- 1 John 5:4 (NKJV). If you believe this statement, hold on to it and keep marching on. The grace and strength to win is already at work in you. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

Your situation was not meant to outlive you, you were meant to outlive it!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Dear heavenly father, I thank you for reminding me of who I am in Christ Jesus. I thank you for putting in me the ability to win and not to fail. Therefore, I declare that no matter what comes my way, I win again and again because victory is my portion in all that I do in the name of Jesus. Amen!
