“…and we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in Him…”1 John 4:16 (NKJV)

As a Christian do you know you have been called to walk in love? It ought to be our life style but sadly not many are aware of this truth. Even though they are Christians, they still keep malice, hold grudges against people and worst of all, they find it difficult to forgive. When they are offended, they do not want to let go. When they are angry, they find it difficult to control their anger. They just explode and mess things up. But the question is, is that the kind of life God has called us to live? Certainly not. God wants us to reflect His love in all our dealings. He wants our Christian life to show forth His love. He wants the people we deal with on a daily basis to see how much of His love we have in us. So it is important that we align ourselves with this expectation of God. I know someone will say, what about cases where you are pushed to the wall, what do you do in such situations? It’s simple. Respond in love. I know it might sound ridiculous because there are many unreasonable people out there, but the truth is that if you are really going to walk in love and fulfil the expectation of God, you’ve got to respond in love, let go and move on. Now, this does not mean you should become foolish. That’s not what I am trying to communicate here. I’m only saying, remember who you are and let people see love in you. Let your attitude, character and words, communicate this love for the Bible says God “…is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in Him…” 1 John 4:16 (NKJV)

So I admonish you today to take your love walk seriously. Stop holding grudges or keeping malice and start loving others no matter their race, religion or background. Do not hate anyone because of what they have done to you. The Bible says, “…if someone says, I love God” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? (1 John 4:20) Did you see that? So start today and do the needful. If there is anyone you need to forgive, kindly do so right now and just let go. It’s for your greater good.

TODAY’S RHEMA

No matter what you face, experience or encounter in the hands of men, always respond in love!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

The love of God has been shed abroad in my heart, therefore I decree that no matter what happens in my day to day activity, I am responding in love because the love of God is at work in me and I am love personified. Halleluiah!
