“…now the Lord is the Spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is; there is liberty…” —2 Corinthians 3:17 (NKJV)
As a believer, do you know that one of the provisions of the finished work of Jesus Christ our Lord is the liberty of the Spirit? Do you know that because of the Spirit of God in you, oppression and afflictions cannot prevail over your life? Well, if you don’t know, I am telling you now. The liberty of the Spirit is one key provision in the body of Christ that should give you confidence in all that you do. It is true that sometimes, the devil would bring thoughts to your mind to torment you, it is true that he would even bring afflictions to you just to try and break you and demoralize you but no matter what he tries to do to you always remember that he can’t prevail against you because you have the Spirit of God in you and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty and there is emancipation from bondage or any thing that looks like captivity.
The challenge today is that not many of God’s people are aware of this truth. Those who are aware are not conscious of it, so they continue to reel under the oppression of the wicked and conclude that this is how it is supposed to be. But I write to you today, that you may know this is not how it is supposed to be. Whatever affliction that the devil has brought your path is not God’s plan for your life, so you must stand up against it with the knowledge of who you are and what you have in Christ Jesus. Refuse to succumb to the suggestions of the devil or his oppressions. Use the name of Jesus and rebuke whatever he throws at you knowing very well, that you have the Spirit of the Lord, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

No matter what the devil throws at you, stand up against it with the knowledge of who you are and what you have in Christ Jesus!
CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
Thank you Heavenly, Father, for giving me your Spirit who brings liberty and emancipation from bondage. I decree this day, that I will always live in the consciousness of this truth and walk in victory now and all the days of my life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
