“….cursed is the man who trusts in man, or makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited….”Jeremiah 17:5-6 (NKJV)

Most times when people feel certain symptoms in their body, they are always quick to want to go to the hospital to check themselves and know what is wrong with them. They place so much importance on going to the hospital to the point that, if they haven’t gone, they don’t feel okay. And sometimes, they don’t even think that they can get better without going to the hospital. So unconsciously, they are completely dependent on medicine and what it has to offer. But you see, while the option of medical sciences is not a bad idea, it is also important for us to know that there is a life God has called us to live in Christ Jesus and there is a mentality that God wants us to have because of the life He has called us to live.

Beloved, you must come to that place in your life where you learn to depend on God and the life He has given to you through the finished works of His son Jesus. You need to train yourself to depend more on the vitality and efficacy of that life rather than depend on medicine. It is a mind-set you need to cultivate. If you are part of those who always want to go to the hospital for every little pain they feel in their body, you might end up fully dependent on medicines to live in health which is not totally bad but the danger is that the day you are confronted with a situation that medicine cannot cure, it becomes difficult to put your faith to work. So I encourage you to be fully dependent on God and His life in you for sound health. The bible says to us that “…if the same Spirit that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in you, it will vitalize your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you…” Romans 8:11 (NKJV) therefore, depend more on God and His word. Let God’s word be your medicine and don’t hesitate to rebuke and cast out anything that makes you uncomfortable in your body. God bless you!

TODAY’S RHEMA

There is a life God has called us to live and there is a mindset God wants us to have because of the life we have been called to live!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for reminding me of the life that you have called me to live in Christ Jesus, I declare that henceforth, I walk conscious of this life and by reason of my walk, an irrevocable law is unlocked in my life in Jesus name. Amen!
