“…I appeal to you, brethren, to be on your guard concerning those who create dissensions and difficulties and cause divisions, in opposition to the doctrine (the teaching) which you have been taught. (I warn you to turn aside from them, to) avoid them…” Romans 16:17 (AMPC)

In your journey as a Christian, you will meet several believers like you; some of whom are ardent believers in the Word and some who are still in doubt and are not willing to accept certain truths in the scriptures. They will stop at nothing to try to spread their unbelief around and look for people who will think and accept the same thing they have come to accept. Beloved, from such people turn away because they will corrupt your belief system and poison your spirit. Their association with you, can make you stumble in your Christian walk and land you in a place of serious doubts and confusion in the things of God. These people, even though they are believers, have given in to the spirit of unbelief and they don’t care to know what the Bible actually says. They have settled for lies and misunderstood the letters in the scripture.
They have formed an opinion which cannot easily be taken away from them. The Bible says, “…such persons do not serve our Lord Christ but their own desires, and by ingratiating and flattering speech, they beguile the hearts of the unsuspecting and simple minded (people)…” – Romans 16:18 (AMPC). However, Paul the Apostle says “while your loyalty and obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I would have you well versed and wise as to what is good and innocent and guileless as to what is evil. And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet… (Romans 16:20 AMPC). So it is important that you watch out for such people who have been corrupted in the way of the faith. They do not have your best interests at heart; they are looking for people who they will corrupt and dissuade from the way of the truth. The Bible says, from such people turn away. But while you do that, do not stop praying for them. Remember, it is the devil that has deceived them and closed their hearts to the truth. So you must pray for them that the spirit of revelation be granted them so that the eyes of their understanding will be enlightened. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

Not all associations are healthy, so disconnect yourself from evil associations!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

I am full of wisdom because the wisdom of God is at work in me, therefore I declare that the ability to discern between good and evil associations is fully at work in me; and I am disconnected from all such associations by the power of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus. Amen!
