“…for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life…” John 3:16 (NKJV)

Do you sometimes wonder what life after this earth would be like?  Do you sometimes worry about this and think you don’t have a chance? Well, I have good news for you. As a Christian, Jesus is your guarantee of a peaceful afterlife because it was for this purpose He came to pay the ultimate price. He came to die so that you and I will be qualified to have an everlasting life and be able to live with the father for the rest of our lives. Without Jesus, this is not possible because the bible says the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) and everyone has sinned and come short of the glory of the God (Romans 3:23). But Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law by becoming sin for us, (2 Corinthians 5:21). He took the punishment that was supposed to come to us (Isaiah 53:3-10) and He died to fulfill the scripture which says the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). He tasted death for us so that we will no longer taste death. He paved the way for us to be able to have eternal life. He dealt with the issue of sin and put it out of the way. He offered His blood on the cross of Calvary for the sins of the whole world both past, present, and future and qualified us to be able to have a wonderful life after this world.

Today we are sure of eternity because of Him and you have to be confident about this. I know that sometimes the devil might want to put some ugly thoughts in your mind and make you believe you will not make heaven, but your confidence should be what the scripture says about this. The Bible says “…therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the father, even so, we also should walk in the newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now, if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him, for the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise, you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord…” Romans 6:4-11 (NKJV). Did you see that? Jesus Christ died to sin once and for all, and today He lives, we are assured of having a blissful eternal life with Him. It is hard to believe but trust me, Jesus already paid the price and made it possible for us to have an eternal bliss and if you believe in Him, you are secured as long as you abide in Him and allow His words to abide in you. But if you are reading this article and you have not received Jesus into your life, I admonish you to do so by using the prayer of salvation behind this book. Only then will your eternity be sure. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

The death that He died was once for sin so that those who believe in Him and His finished works will not die but live on forever!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

My life is hidden with Christ in God, therefore my eternity is guaranteed by the grace of the almighty God which brought me salvation in the first place. So I declare that I will continually be conscious of my union with Christ Jesus because in Him I live, I move and have my being. Praise God!
