No man respects the authority or words of a child, why? Because he is of course a child so his words mean nothing. In the law court, a child is not allowed to enter into a contract until he is considered mature enough and that means he is not qualified to enter into an agreement. In fact, every contract signed by a child is considered ‘void ab initio’, this means invalid from the beginning. A new creation is considered a child in spiritual things when he is new to the faith, but God expects us to grow up in spiritual matters. Do you realize that all spirits understand spiritual levels? whether they are angels of God or angels of the devil. If you study your Bible you will notice that there is an angel of God called Michael, he was described as an archangel, which means he had a level in the spirit realm. In the book of Daniel 10:13, the Bible says, “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me? This scripture shows us that the angel with the lower rank was held captive by the Prince of Persia. It was until angel Michael showed up that he was set free. And without Michael’s interference, he would have remained there for a long time.
If as Christians we remain children, we would find ourselves in various situations that we would be unable to tackle. This is why some people always feel they need someone else to pray for them before they encounter a change. But the truth is; if you will grow in your spiritual authority, by knowledge, prayers, fasting, soul-winning, and most especially accepting spiritual responsibility in the house of God, you can have anything you want easily. Michael was a prince even though he was an angel. He had other angels reporting to him, so for that reason, he had so much authority. Now, my point is, as a born-again tongue talking believer, you have to grow in the authority God has given to you, to ride above the works and activities of the Devil. It’s true you are now born again, but who are you responsible for? What’s your level in the house of the Lord? Do you have any responsibility in the church where you worship? Some people prefer to be a face in the crowd and that is exactly why they will never grow in their spiritual authority because a subject is always under the authority of his governor and his king. Therefore, I encourage you, take a bold step, take your Christian life seriously and accept responsibility in the house of the Lord. As you do so, your authority over the devil and his cohorts increases. Glory to God!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY
Lord Jesus! I thank you for giving me the opportunity to increase my spiritual authority through service to you. I thank you for empowering me through this message today, to take a bold step and accept responsibility in your house. I, therefore, declare, that as I accept more responsibility, I am translated to a higher place of authority in Jesus Name. Amen!
