“…So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.” And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it…And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs…”

Exodus 4:23, 17 (NKJV)

In the opening scripture, we see God asking Moses what he had in his hands. Moses had an ordinary rod, but now it had become a rod for signs and wonders. The rod of Moses became the rod of God for great manifestations of God’s power. The rod in the hands of Moses was all he had with him and God used it. God didn’t consider that it was just an object, He used it to do what He wanted.

Now, in this dispensation, God is still using men like He used Moses. He is still bringing out great potentials from things that were not supposed to be productive. And this is the same way God works with everyone who has something to give Him to manifest His power.

As Christians, we are not empty, and we are not without power. We are not without ability. God is willing and more than ready to perform signs and wonders through us. He is willing to work miracles in our lives but he needs us to give him something He can use. The proclamation of what you believe, the prayers you pray and the fasting that you carry out, are all instruments in the hands of the Holy Spirit. God will use what you give Him in prayer, fasting, and offerings to demonstrate His presence and His power in your life and in the lives of people you care about. So, what is in your hand? What do you have that God can use to move in this generation? And don’t say you have nothing because everybody has something that can be used. Praise God!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Dear Father! Use me and use everything I have to bring positive change to my life and to the people you have sent me. Make the things I possess, agents of change so that everyone around me may be beneficiaries of the wonders you perform through what I have to offer in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
