“…so now; fear God. Worship him in total commitment…” —Joshua 24:14 (MSG)

If there is anything you have to try and work on this year, is to follow the Lord with total commitment. There are too many of God’s people today who are not consistent in their commitment to God and in the process, their relationship with God isn’t as strong as it should be. They are so inconsistent in their walk with God to the point that today you see them in Church and the next time they will not be there for weeks. Today they will pay their tithe and tomorrow they will not do it again. Today they will indicate an interest to work for God and before long you will no longer see them walking in that path again. They go on a roller coaster ride with God and end up not seeing any fruits of their walk with the Lord because inconsistency has never been known for bearing fruit. Beloved, if you are going to bear fruits that will remain this year, you have to make a conscious decision to become wholly committed in your walk with the Lord. Refuse to allow any form of external motivation to make you worship God. Rather, let your commitment to the Lord this year come from a place of personal revelation. Consistency with God is one of the best things that can happen to you. When you are committed, your life can never be the same. There will always be a change, therefore choose ye this day to maintain a level of total commitment to God and His righteousness.

When Joshua was encouraging the Israelite on how to follow God, He said to them, “…fear God…worship Him in total commitment…” Joshua 24:14 (MSG)” which means that this is something every true worshipper ought to do. You can’t be a true worshiper and your level of commitment is not different from that of an unbeliever. Your commitment should show in your response to God and in your actions towards the things that pertain to Him. Jesus Christ said “. . . live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you . . .” John 15:4 (MSG) He said “…I am the vine; you are the branches. When you are joined with me and I with you… the harvest is sure to be abundant…” But separated, He says “…. you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood gathered up and thrown in the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon…” (John 15:5-8 MSG). So, you see that there is a far more weight of glory when you are totally committed to God. It guarantees you a life of fulfilment. Therefore, do all you can to ensure that this is done in your life, let your commitment to God and consistency in following His words be your number one priority and your life certainly will not remain the same. God bless you.

TODAY’S RHEMA

If you are going to bear fruits that will remain this year, you have to make a conscious decision to become wholly committed to God.

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

I profess this day that as long as I live, my attention will be given to God and God alone all the time. I refuse to be inconsistent with my worship, I choose to be consistent and committed because I know that in it lies a far weight of glory that even the mind cannot think about. So, I walk in the grace to be totally committed to God in the name of Jesus. Amen!
