“….and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”Revelation 12:11 (NKJV)

A growing practice you find amongst God’s people today is that they don’t testify of what God has done in their lives. They prefer to keep it to themselves and not speak about it either because they are ashamed or because they don’t want to let people know what is going on in their lives. But you see, not speaking about what God has done for you, is an unhealthy practice to engage in as a Christian. You must understand that sharing your testimony has an impact on you and on those who hear your testimony. More also, it puts the devil where he belongs. You see, when you testify of the things God did in your life, you are acknowledging the role and sovereignty of God and preparing yourself for bigger exploits to be wrought in your life by God. It helps you to keep what God has done for you. For example, when you testify of a healing that took place in your body, you are acknowledging that the healing took place by God’s power and you are confident and convinced that it’s the handwork of God. So when you do this, you are giving voice to your conviction of God’s power and this makes the healing permanent. If the situation tries to speak otherwise, you don’t give in but continue proclaiming your miracle because you believe God has done it.

But when you do not testify, it is a sign that you are not really convinced or confident of what God has done. Some people say, what if I testify and then lose what I have testified about, what happens? So they choose not to testify because they are waiting to see if it is permanent or not. It shouldn’t be that way.

Testify of what God has done for you no matter what. Let people know the operations of God in your life. When you do, you are affirming, that the power of God is responsible for your miracle and all the glory belongs to God. Amazingly, when you do this, you strengthen the faith of other people who hear your testimony. It reminds them of the efficacy and potency of God’s Word and power. It helps them know that they too can have a testimony. Sometimes, there are people who because of prolonged situation, begin to give up in their walk with God, but your testimony can go a long way to help a brother or sister to be restored in their faith walk. Your testimony can go a long way to bring people to Christ and help them locate their eternal destiny.

So I urge you today to begin to testify of the things God has done in your life. Don’t say “but I am shy or scared…” outgrow such mindset and know that God has given you the spirit of boldness. (2 Timothy 1:7). Don’t say “I cannot face the crowd” because you can. If you want to remain anonymous, you can write out your testimony so that it can be read in church of what the Lord has done. Do all you can to get your testimony out there, because your testimony could just be the key to some other person’s miracle or salvation, praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

Your testimony is the breeding ground for other people’s miracle!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for Your glorious and wonderful works in my life, I thank You for Your love and faithfulness. I declare that all the days of my life, I will testify of the things You have done, and I will never be ashamed to speak about it in the name of Jesus. Amen!
