“…and they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers…” Acts 2:42 (NKJV)

One of the things I have always admired about the early Christians, was their consistency in the things of God and guess what, it produced such massive results in their lives that the Bible recorded that they had favor with all people. In Acts 2:46-47, the Bible says, “….so continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people…” Did we you see that? All this happened because they were consistent in what they have come to hear and believe in and today we still speak about their success. Now this is the kind of consistency that God wants us to have as Christians. Because it will go a very long way to make the Christian lives struggle free.

Today you find that there are lots of people who are having to go through life struggling because they are not consistent in their walk with God. They are hardly in church to receive God’s word into their spirit, they are hardly looking into the bible to see what God has to say and worst of all, they don’t pray always. Yet, they want things to be smooth. Now, I am not saying when you do all these things, everything will go smoothly, No Sir! I am only saying when these things become our practices, we don’t get stuck in the rut of life. No matter how the devil tries to bring in frustrations into your life, you will not give in because through God’s word and prayers, you have become toughened to face such things and win. So I admonish you to think about these things. There are questions you must ask yourself so that you can walk in the truth. And some of those questions are, Am I consistent in my Christian walk? Am consistent in prayers, studies of the word of God and doing the word of God? When you are sincere with these questions, it will wake you up to reality and help you begin a steadfast and consistent walk with Jesus. Refuse to be one leg in the church and one leg out. Be among those whom Christ is coming for and submit your will totally to His will. Be like those in the early church who continued in the Apostles’ Doctrine and continued in the provision and dictates of Gospel and watch your life move from glory to glory. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

When you continue in the Gospel and its dictates, it produces in your life such success that you can’t achieve anywhere else!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the privilege to receive the Gospel and salvation, I declare that I continue in the doctrine of the Gospel and grow in it. And as I do this, I am finding favor before all men and walking in the Excellency of the Spirit and producing results like never before in the name of Jesus. Amen!
