“….faith in Jesus’ name put this man, whose condition you know so well, on his feet, – yes, faith and nothing but faith put this man healed and whole right before your eyes…”Acts 3:16 (MSG)

As powerful as the name of Jesus Christ is, many are still not getting results when they use the name. So when you tell them that they can make things happen in their lives by using the name of Jesus, they look at you and marvel, because that is a far cry of what their experience is, in using the name of Jesus. However, the fact that many have used the name of Jesus Christ in their prayers and couldn’t get results as told to us by the bible does not make the name less powerful. The problem is that many have lost the revelation behind the name. Many have become too familiar with the name to the point that they are no longer conscious of the spiritual realities attached to the name. So nowadays you find people, use the name unconsciously with no expectations. Some others call on the name in fear and so goes the list. It has become so common on the lips of many to the point that they no longer realize how powerful and efficacious the name of Jesus is. But this shouldn’t be your case. You must understand that God gave us the name of Jesus Christ for a reason, not so that it should be used to feel cool or used when rounding up your prayer. God gave us the name of Jesus to change our lives and to chart our course in life.

The name of our Lord Jesus Christ, is not just a name but a representation and a reminder of the victory that Jesus Christ brought to us through His finished work. When you use the name, you are capitalizing on the finished work of Jesus Christ and laying hold of your rights in Him. Therefore, it is important that you use the name consciously and expectantly. Because when you do, you receive access to anything that you want to achieve in life which is in line with God’s will. Remember, Jesus Christ humbled Himself and paid the price with His own blood, and God in turn exalted Him and gave Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth, and of those under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father (Philippians 2:9-10). Letting us know that everything in life today, answers to the name of Jesus. If you use the name consciously, everything will answer to you. So make up your mind, you will use the name often and consciously. Praise God!
