“…and these signs will follow those who believe; in my name they will cast out demons….” Mark 6:17(NKJV)

Have you ever been told that you have the authority to cast out demons? If yes, do you believe it? I ask these questions because of the way many people get scared when confronted by demonic forces. They go from place to place looking for someone to pray for them forgetting that God has given them the authority to handle demons and cast them out. As simple as this might sound, it is true, it is our heritage in Christ Jesus. Beloved, no matter how tough any demon is, the truth still remains that they are not tougher than Jesus. The Bible says, Jesus Christ is the head of all principalities and powers and you are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10 NKJV). The earlier you understand this truth, the better for you. You have to understand that this is what makes us different from other folks.

Christianity is not an empty life; it is a life of power, dominion and authority. And you have a responsibility to exercise the power and authority that has been given to you in Christ Jesus. Refuse to be scared when you have a bad dream, refuse to panic when you are confronted with any kind of demonic manipulation, use the name of Jesus and exercise your authority in Christ Jesus.

You might say but will this work? Well, it works because the demons you are asking to leave understand the authority vested in the Name of Jesus, so they have no choice but to go. However, you must not forget that the Name of Jesus is not to be called in fear but in faith because without faith, those demons will not hear you. So, the next time you get confronted by any demonic entity, do not become afraid. Rather, stand in faith and rebuke that demon, because you have the authority to do so in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

TODAY’S RHEMA

You must not forget that the name of Jesus is not to be called in fear but in faith!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

My Father and My Maker, I thank you for giving me authority over demons, I thank you for giving me the name of Jesus Christ to use in times of need. I choose this day to use the Name to expel all kinds of demons in the name of Jesus. Amen!
