“…. blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead….” —1 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)

As a Christian, do you know that you are begotten again to a living hope? Do you know that through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, you have hope both in this world and the world to come? Well just in case you do not know. I am telling you now. The finished works of Jesus Christ brought hope to mankind. Prior to the coming of Jesus Christ, the world was in total darkness and there was no hope of eternity for man because the first man Adam made a mistake that jeopardized the future of mankind. The Bible records that through the disobedience of one man, death reigned through that one man (Romans 5:17). Eternal damnation became the destiny of mankind but when Jesus Christ came, everything changed. He did not only bring hope to man, but He also brought life to man as well, so that man can live a life of abundance throughout his days. Now the question is do you believe it? Well, I adjure you to believe this because it is the truth.

There are those who are living in fear of what the future holds for them beyond this world because they do not understand what I am sharing with you right now. Others who are not in Christ don’t even know what the future holds for them beyond this world. But you, who are in Christ Jesus, refuse to live like that because you were born into a living hope. Our hope is not in vain or a pretentious hope. Our hope is real and that hope is Christ Jesus who paid the ultimate price for us and made eternal life a reality for us. Your responsibility is to believe it and let it influence your life in a positive way. Live every day of your life knowing that you were born into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled which does not fade away …” 1 Peter 1:3-5 (NKJV). Halleluiah!
