“…and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt…” —Daniel 12:2 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk, it is important that you live every day of your life knowing that eternity awaits everyone. I know that there are people who don’t really think this is real but it is real. We are living in the days of the prophecies of the Bible. More than 80% of the prophecies about the end times have already been fulfilled and amazingly, they are happening before our very eyes. It is obvious that the world is coming to an end, whether it is believed or not. The Bible clearly lets us know that “…the world and everything in it that people desire is passing away…” 1 John 2:15 (GNB) and we can see this because of the way things are going in the world today. The question is, what will your eternal future be like? Are you living every day of your life with this in mind? As simple as these questions might sound, they hold a very serious truth, which you must come to terms with. Many people today are not really thinking about this, so they go about their activities without giving a thought to this question. Many have somehow believed that when they leave, they will go and be with God as though it is that simple. They forget that going to be with God after life on this earth is over, is based on God’s terms and conditions, not human views or ideas. But they toss aside God’s criteria for eternity with Him and live as though heaven is for all.

Well, the truth remains that, eternity with God is not for everybody, it is for only those who prepare for it and that preparation begins here and now, while you are on the earth. So, I admonish you today to live every day of your life in the consciousness of this truth. Let your eternity with the Father be your number-one priority.  Let everything you do in your life be about that. Channel your strength, actions and passions in that direction. Let your love for Jesus stay alive and “…keep in your hearts the message you heard from the beginning. If you keep that message, then you will always live in union with the Son and the Father…” 1 John 2:24 (GNB) and your eternity with the Father will be a done deal. Remember, life in Christ and Christ in us is our only guarantee of spending eternity with the father. Therefore, do the needful and live your life accordingly. People may laugh at you and make you think you don’t know what you are doing, but keep your focus on Jesus and continue in His words. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “He who finds his life will lose, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it…” Matthew 10:39 (NKJV) Hallelujah!

TODAY’S RHEMA

As far as life is concerned, eternity with God should be your utmost priority!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for reminding me of this truth today, I choose to make eternity my priority from this day and everything I do will revolve around this and by the power of God’s Spirit, my passion, values and interests go in this direction in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
