“…as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded…” —2 Chronicles 15:7 (NIV)

There is nothing as satisfying as a smile from a job well done, the feeling of success and victory. It brightens the soul of the man and adds a glow to his personality. Won’t it be amazing if we all achieved every dream in our heart, especially the one that has posed very difficult? Yes, it would be. But for this to happen, you should be a go-getter. When challenges spring up, you don’t get surprised by them or act as though it’s something strange, instead, you confront it. Most times, people give up too soon when they are faced with a challenge because they are not “go-getters”. They always quit because giving up is the easiest and quickest thing to do in the face of adversity or opposition. However, running away from the truth and giving up on plans and dreams isn’t the best thing to do. Especially when your mind begins to tell you the only option you have left is to run or give up. It is not a place to be. There have been cases where husbands run away from their marriages when they feel they have had enough, and wives do the same. Many give up on dreams when they feel they have done it all. But they don’t know that giving up doesn’t really help because when you do, you will always find yourself giving up on all things until it becomes a normal thing in your life. However, this isn’t God’s plan for our lives.

Every Christian should be a go-getter, not a quitter. In life, you will be faced with challenging situations, but you should not be tempted to give up. You should confront them with only an option of winning and not losing, holding on and not going back. A go-getter has certain characteristics, which we all must learn to imbibe. A go-getter should have the character of focus; focus on the goal or dream desired, focus on the satisfaction of achieving your goals, focus on the feeling that winning brings. A go-getter does not give considerations to rising opponents or oppositions; he has no reason to think he can’t be productive. The Bible declares, “…whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the cloud will not reap.” Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NIV) meaning, it doesn’t matter the direction of the wind, if you are on a journey you must stay on the road that leads you to the end of the journey, because if you observe the wind, it may never be favourable enough for you to go forward. So, get up and start chasing your dreams with a winning mentality. Refuse to quit or give up, this is the way up in life. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Precious Father. You are great and greatly to be praised. Thank you for giving me the attitude of a winner and not a loser, thank you for putting in me the ability that always leads to victory and success. I declare that I take advantage of my ability to focus, and I use it to achieve my dreams in the name of Jesus. Amen!
