“…then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you” and his servant was healed that same hour…” Matthew 8:13 (NKJV)

When you study the bible from the book of Matthew chapter eight verse five to thirteen, it tells us the story of a centurion who came to Jesus, saying his servant was lying at home paralyzed and dreadfully tormented. And Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him. But the centurion answered saying, “Lord I am not worthy that you should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, Go; and he goes; and to another, come; and he comes and to my servant do this and he does it.” Matthew 8:8 (NIV). So when Jesus heard it, He marveled and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel.” Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you. And true to the words of the master, his servant was healed that same hour.

Now, something I want you to take note of here is that this centurion understood what authority is and all he did was to believe that if Jesus would speak a word, his servant would be healed. And indeed, when Jesus spoke the word, the servant was healed because the centurion believed. Meaning that what you believe, will surely be done to you. So I ask you today, what do you believe? Do you believe in healing? Do you believe in the supernatural? Do you believe in financial miracles? Beloved what you believe will surely take place in your life. Therefore, you must deliberately work on your belief system because you are a totality of what you believe in. if you believe you will live an extraordinary life that is what will become. But if you believe otherwise, don’t expect anything less. So as you continue in your Christian walk, don’t forget that, as you believe, it will be done unto you. Use the right believing to influence your world positively. Jesus Christ said something amazing to the man whose child was convulsing and I would like to leave you with that word today. He said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes…” Mark 9:23 (NKJV)
