Owe no one anything except to love one another… — Romans 13:8 (NKJV)
While we have established the absolute need to be open to love, someone might still ask a practical question. “Must I go through the rigors of receiving and giving love even when it seems unnecessary?” The answer is a resounding yes; you have to do it because walking in love is not an option for a believer. Love is the ultimate commandment given to us in the New Testament, and anyone who fulfills this fulfills the entire law.
The Bible makes this incredibly clear when it says, Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” — Romans 13:8-9 (NKJV). Did you catch that? A person who receives and gives love automatically fulfills the commandment.
Choose this day to remain open to love, and stop seeing it as an optional or conditional lifestyle. Refuse to give in to the emotional difficulties and past hurts that surround giving or receiving love. Often, people close themselves off to love entirely because of demonic manipulations. The devil knows that when you are open to giving and receiving love, he cannot manipulate you. Because you are functioning in a higher spiritual dimension, the enemy will stop at nothing to ensure your heart remains closed and hardened.
This is exactly what the enemy has successfully done to many people today. They are simply unable to give or receive love, which is the primary reason iniquity has increased so drastically in our world. Where there is no love, lawlessness will always abound and take over. Little wonder Jesus warned us, And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. — Matthew 24:12 (NKJV).
I admonish you today to intentionally remain open to love. The Bible assures us that God’s love has already been poured out in our hearts. Therefore, opening up to love shouldn’t be an impossible task to handle. When you live a life of love, you are the one who stands to gain the most. You will not walk in lawlessness, and most importantly, you will not fall victim to the devil’s subtle manipulations. Hallelujah!

Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your word that has come into my heart today. I open myself up to receive love and to freely give it to others. I refuse to be closed to love because love is in my very nature as Your child. I was born with it, and it is shed abroad in my heart, so freely I will receive and freely I will give it in the name of Jesus. Amen!
