Can God Correct You?

A Man praying holding a Holy Bible.

“…but God says to the wicked, why should you recite my commandments? Why do you talk about my commandment? You refuse to let me correct you; you reject my commands…” Psalm 50:16 ( GNT)

Do you want to make progress and be fruitful in all that you do? Do you want the rain of God’s Spirit to pour on you like never before? Do you want to see God’s protection manifest in your life again and again? Then you must be open to God’s correction at all times.

I know this may sound easy but in the real sense, can God correct you? Can God easily make changes in your life? For example, can God change your diet? Can He change the friends you keep? Would you allow God to change even the clothes you wear or the places you go? Think about this for a moment.

Many Christians today are rigid when it comes to this subject. They are regulars at church, they pray quite alright and they are committed to the things of God, but when it comes to God making corrections in their lives, they resist. If God says you should change the way you tal, the places you go, or the way you eat, would you find it difficult to comply? No wonder God said to the people of old, “Why should you recite my commandments? Why do you talk about my commandment? You refuse to let me correct you; you reject my commands.” Psalm 50:16 (GNT). Did you see that? Now, if you do not want to repeat this same mistake, you have to flow like water with God. You have to cultivate an attitude that is submitted to God’s correction. When God seeks to make corrections in your life, it is because He wants to bless you. So, walk with God in such a way that He will be able to make corrections in your life easily.

TODAY RHEMA

When God is able to make corrections in your life, everything about you changes for the better!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am sorry for all the many ways I have resisted you. I ask that from now on, you grant me the grace to be able to know the corrections you want me to make and grant me the wisdom to make those corrections in Jesus name. Amen!
