“…when you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your saviour; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in my sight, you have been honoured and I have loved you…” Isaiah 43:2-4 (NKJV)

In our opening text, we see God reassuring the Israelites and letting them know that, in whatever they go through, he would always be there for them. And He gave a reason for it. He said, no harm would come to them, because there were precious in His sight. Now, in the same way they were precious in His sight, that is how you are in His sight today. He loves you so much and cares so much about you. In fact, it might surprise you to know that He cares for you more than you could ever care for yourself. He has your best interests at heart, more than you would ever do for yourself and interestingly, He wants the best for you, more than you would ever want for yourself. But the question is, do you believe this? Do you actually know that God loves you this much? Do you live with the consciousness of this truth every day of your life? If you do, you will stop worrying, complaining and getting troubled over the affairs of your life. If you do, you would rather rest in Him than get yourself worked up.

Therefore, I encourage you live in the consciousness of this truth. Let it be your confidence and always know that you are the beloved of God and you are precious in His sight. Sometimes, the devil might want to tell you otherwise, he might want to bring out list of reasons and let you know that, if truly you are the beloved of God, why did He allow such and such to happen to you. But refuse to give in to his evil counsel because they are false claims. If he brings up such reasons, show him the scripture because the scriptures contains the proof of the father’s love for you. If he is not convinced, show him the blood of Jesus that was shared for your sake. It is your trophy and it is enough proof. So live every day of your life knowing that you are the beloved of God and always give Him thanks for such wonderful victory that He has given to you in Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV). Praise God!

You are precious in the sight of God, therefore let this be your confidence!

I live every day of my life confident of this one thing, that I am the beloved of God, I am precious in His sight and am his valued possession. I walk in the boldness of this truth and conquer in all things by this truth because I know that God has my back. Praise God!
