“…there is one who scatters, yet increases more, and there is one who withholds more that is right, but it leads to poverty…” Proverbs 11:24 (NKJV)

In all of my walk with God, one mystery that I have found is that, those who give, increase in their ability to receive; but those who withholds end up in poverty because instead of increasing in their ability to receive, they start decreasing. Now, I know it might sound strange but that is just the reality of the matter and the bible is clear on it. In our opening text, the bible says “…there is one who scatters, yet increases more, and there is one who withholds more that is right, but it leads to poverty…” Proverbs 11:24 (NKJV). And then in the next verse, the bible says, “…the generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. The people will curse him who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it…” Proverbs 11:25-26 (NKJV). Meaning, there is something about giving that we all need to learn as Christians who wants to enjoy financial liberty.

The text we just read, clearly states that the generous soul will be made rich, in other words the man whose hands are open and always willing to give will be made rich. But the man who tends to keep what he has and does not subscribe to giving will not be able to access riches. Why? Because giving beloved, is a law or you can say a principle that God has put in nature to ensure reproduction, continuity and relevance. The man who doesn’t gives or takes joy in give, will lack these three things (reproduction, continuity and relevance) in his financial life. His channel of income will shrink by the day, and in no time, he will lose relevance the area of finances. So it’s important that we take this seriously and become givers.  In the book of Genesis 8:22, God said, “…while the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease…” meaning a law has already being put in place by God and the law states that seedtime and harvest shall not cease as long as the earth remains. So the man who gives, has planted a seed for which he will always reap a harvest because that’s what the law states. But the man who does not give, has no seed sown and therefore cannot expect a harvest because he didn’t make room for it. So the attitude of giving is something you should cultivate because it will go a long way to upgrade your life and help you enjoy financial freedom. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

The man who does not give, has no seed sown and therefore cannot expect a harvest because he didn’t make room for it!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Thank you Lord for opening my eyes to see the truth, I declare that the grace to give and give lavishly is at work in me. I am super-abundantly supplied and I have more than enough to give when the needed arises in the name of Jesus. Amen!
