“…to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted…” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 (NKJV)

One of the most important verses in the Bible is the one we have in our opening text which says, “…to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted…” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 (NKJV). Now, you might say but why is it important? Well, it is because, herein is the law of process revealed. The law of process is the law that governs procedures for everything. It is the law that makes things to happen in due time and not immediately. Now, if you must take advantage of this law, you’ve got to learn to abide by it and apply the principle of patience because patience is the key required to adhere to the law of process. Now, why am I sharing these details with you? It is simple, in life we sometimes tend to want everything to happen at once. We want to get married immediately, have money automatically, and build houses in one goal. We no longer want to go through the process of courtship, we no longer want to through the process of laying a foundation, we just want money and we want it now. We no longer want to go through the process of spiritual maturity, we just want to walk in power and this is not supposed to be so.

Our generation has grown so impatient that we no longer desire to go through due process, we just want protocols broken so that we can get results right now. But it won’t work that way. If you are always in a hurry, your results may never endure. True results that endure, must be gotten through due process. There is a reason for it. If you force the process, you will make mistakes that could even cost you your future. Therefore, it is important that as you journey in your Christian walk, you function with this in mind. It is true that there are some things, were protocols need to be broken, but trust me, the most important things in life that will have a major effect in your future have to go through due process to happen. For example, you don’t fall in love today and expect to get married tomorrow, you might make a mistake. You don’t start a business today and expect the business to start bearing fruits tomorrow, it won’t work that way. Allow time to take its full course because in the end, it will be for your own good. Something I love about the law of process is that, it allows things to reach maturity stage and every error or mistakes that is to me made will be avoided with ease. So consider this truth today and be patient for the law of process to have its way. Praise God!
