“…the lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness…” Matthew 6:22 (NKJV)

You can’t be engaged in too many things and expect to achieve one thing. You cannot be chasing after too many things and expect to achieve one. It won’t happen because the secret to achieving anything is when you focus all your attention on it and give it your best shot. Only then will you achieve the things you want to achieve. So as a Christian, it is important that you make focus a priority in your life. Fight the fight of focus, because that is what you need to succeed in any endeavour. Maybe you want to get a job, or start a business or write a book or just anything you want to achieve, you can achieve it, if you give it the required focus that it deserves. In the past I have heard people say they want to achieve this and that, but they have not been able to achieve it. But the truth is, they didn’t really give that endeavour the required focus, so they ended up starting but they were not able to finish it, because the “focus” factor was not there. However, you can make a difference today, if you will give your goals and dream the focus that it deserves.

When we take a look at the life of Jesus, we see that one of the reasons He was able to finish the race and complete His mission was because He was focused. On one occasion when His disciples were urging Him to eat, He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know”. John 4:32 (NKJV) But the disciples thought to themselves, “…has anyone brought Him anything to eat?” John 4:33 (NKJV). And then, “Jesus said to them, “my food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work…” John 4:34. See! He reiterated His focus here. They were speaking about food for the stomach but He was thinking about destiny. He had to let them know that, food is not the important thing now, what matters most is to finish the work of Him who has sent Me, and guess what? He went through it, finished it and was exalted and given the name that is above every other name (Philippians 2:9). Now, that is what happens when you have a focus in any endeavour, you will always end up with a crown for the price that you paid. So what is it you want to achieve in your life in the next two months? If you will be disciplined enough to fight the fight of focus, you will surely achieve your dreams and goals, so get to work. Halleluiah!

When you have a focus in any endeavour, you will always end up with a crown for the price that you paid!

I know what I want and I am going all out for it by the power of God’s Spirit. I reject every form of distractions and I declare that the spirit of focus is at work in me and I am enjoying an unbroken focus in Jesus name. Amen!
