“…humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life…” —Proverbs 22:4 (NIV)

As you journey in your walk with God, you must understand that humility has a ton of blessings that it can bring to your life. But the question is, will you make a conscious decision to walk in humility? We are living in a world full of many influences and these influences sometimes make us walk in pride and arrogance but as a child of God, this is not God’s plan for your life. God does not want us walking in pride and arrogance because it could destroy us and make us ineffective and unproductive in life. But the problem is, most people don’t realize this. They tend to think that they know it all and are not ready to be taught or be corrected. Some others feel they are superior to others, and better than others because somehow, they are getting a kind of result that others are not getting. So, they continue in this practice until they lose their edge and fall back to square one which is why you must avoid pride in your life, you must be willing to walk in humility at all times.

Humility is not stupidity or inferiority but seeing yourself how God wants you to see yourself and do the things God expects you to do in your life and others. Be willing to calm down, drop every form of ego and know what God is trying to communicate to you at different points or what God wants from you in certain stages of your life. Don’t be full of yourself or be tempted to think that you have arrived and have achieved. The truth remains that, as long as life is concerned, it is a continuous learning process. There is so much to learn and there is so much to change but you must be willing to humble yourself to learn and let change have its way. If you do this, there is no telling how far you will go in your life. Because the humble man will always receive grace to go far in life. So I admonish you today, humble yourself in the eyes of the almighty and the grace you require to move from glory to glory will be granted you because according to the scriptures, “…He gives grace to the humble…” James 4:6 (NKJV) Hallelujah!
