“….but you are a chosen generation, a royal priest hood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who were once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy…”

1 Peter 2:2-10 (NKJV)

We live in a society today that is full of competition and things that have the ability to make you look down at yourself and feel that you don’t fit in. But as a child of God, one of the things you must learn is to see yourself the way God sees and you not as society sees you. It is true you might not have all it takes to be to meet up with the competition out there but that doesn’t make you less qualified for the things that pertain to life and society. You might even have friends or family members who look down on you and make you believe you are failing, but you must learn to look beyond their perspective and embrace God’s own perspective. The reason is that it doesn’t matter what people or the society thinks about you, but how God thinks about you. As a Christian, you’ve got to understand that you are a new creation with a superior life at work in you. The very abilities of God is at work in you because you have His Spirit dwelling on the inside of you. Therefore, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).

So henceforth, refuse to think less of yourself and see yourself the way God sees you. Our Lord Jesus said, “…you did you not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in my name He may give you…” John 15:16 (NKJV). If you weren’t special you wouldn’t have been chosen but because you are special, you have been set apart and now you have God’s attention. Anything you ask Him in the name of Jesus, He is willing to do it because you have a special access to the Father through your union with Christ. So change the way you see yourself and see with the eyes of God and embrace God’s opinion about you not the opinion of men. God bless you!

God’s opinion and ideas about you is all that matter and should matter to you!

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for using your Word to change my outlook about myself. Henceforth, I refuse to consider the opinions of men but Yours alone. Because in your opinion lies the real information about me. I refuse to look down or think less of myself because I am special to God. I am wonderfully and fearfully made in the name of Jesus! Amen!
