“…to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life…”- Romans 8:7 (NKJV)

In your walk with God Almighty, it matters how you perceive things, because it goes a long way to determine how far you will go in life and how much liberty and blessings you will enjoy in God’s Word. Therefore, you must be very careful with the way you perceive or comprehend God’s word. I discovered that sometimes many Christians tend to reason out God’s word, they try to explain the word of God using their minds, they try to understand God’s word in a carnal way and so they end up with polluted minds and corrupt understanding. They do not know that God and His word cannot be found in a place of reasoning but all they do is keep coming up with ‘mind polluting’ questions about what the word of God has said and what It did not say. They keep trying to twist the scriptures and make it look as though there are certain things which were not supposed to be done or said. They try to prove points that do not make sense so they end up becoming what I call controversial Christians. They cause controversy in the house of the Lord and in the process they corrupt others who are young in faith and are yet to grab a hold on God’s word. But this must be dealt with in your life, do everything you can not to walk in this path. We are free as Christians to believe anything in the Scriptures but you must be careful what you are holding on to in the scriptures, you must be sure it is the right thing. For example there are certain Christians, who don’t believe in tithing or speaking in tongues, so they do everything possible to try to discredit tithing or speaking in tongues and not only so , they try to get others who are tithing or speaking in tongues to believe that it is wrong but in the real sense is it wrong? The answer is No, but when you choose to believe things like this, you are no longer working in the truth even though you feel you are in the truth.
See, you should come to such a place where you understand that you are dealing with God and in God there are no faults. A Christian who tries to ask silly questions just because He does not believe in certain things that is written in the bible is trying to find fault in God and in His word which is totally wrong. That our human mind did not comprehend a thing written in the scriptures does not mean God is wrong. God is not wrong and He can never be wrong. If you find yourself having problems understanding a matter in the scriptures, don’t try to build a case against it by coming up with mind polluting, spirit corrupting questions, rather go on your knees and ask Him who created your mind to give you understanding beyond your mind and in due time your prayer will be answered. Stop holding on to the letter because the bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:6b (NKV) that “the letter kills but the Spirit gives life”. So be encouraged to refrain from asking questions that will pollute you or pollute others, be a faithful follower who has come to know that in God there are no flaws and there are no faults. When you build yourself up in this way, you will be a Christian, whose perception and understanding is of the Spirit.

TODAY’S RHEMA

In God there are no flaws and there are no faults

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for instructing me in the way of righteousness. I choose to go with the flow of your word and depend on the Holy Spirit for understanding; and as I do so, I flourish and blossom in all things. And I enjoy a Spirit led walk with God in Jesus Name. Amen!
