“…looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has down at the right hand of the throne of God…” Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV)

As you mature in your Christian walk, you must learn to make Jesus your confidence. Notice, I didn’t say learn to put your confidence in Jesus, I said make Him your confidence because that is a higher level of operation in faith. While some people put their confidence in Jesus which is not a bad idea, some are have made Jesus their confidence. In other words, Jesus is now the source of their confidence, He alone is their focus and to Him alone do they look up to. Knowing that Jesus Christ did all He did on the cross for them, is more than enough reason for them to be confident in all that they do in life. They have come to understand that come what may they will never be disappointed. So you too must possess this kind of confidence.

See Jesus as your confidence and source of strength because truly that is what He is to you. King David in his days, had this understanding and on one occasion, he said: “…the Lord is my rock and my fortress and deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold…” Psalms 18:2. Did you see that? Imagine the choice of words King David used. He wasn’t just talking, he was literally speaking from the depths of his heart and revealing what God truly is to him, and guess what, God proved His faithfulness to Him time without number. And King David became one of the most successful kings in the history of Israel. The only King who anointed his successor before he died. Why? Because he saw God as his everything. So beloved, begin today to see Jesus as your confidence and act like it. Refuse to think or talk fear, refuse to give in or give up and know that Jesus is more than enough for you. Whatever area you need to manifest confidence, look up to Him and watch Him come through in your life by His Spirit at all times. Sometimes, the situation might not warrant this, but Jesus Christ is more than any situation. Once you make Him your confidence you will see all that issue give way. Praise God!
