“…only let your conduct be worthy of the Gospel, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel…”

Philippians 1:27 (NKJV)

As a Christian one of the things you must strive to do in your life is to let God’s Word reflect in your dealings. You have a responsibility to show forth the realities of the scriptures in all that you do because you are a living epistle. Your life is like a book and it is open for all to see. But the question is, what would you like people to see? Do you want them to see the regenerated man that you are now in Christ Jesus, or you want them to see the old you? I know for so many people they would say they want the world to see the new man they have become but then, they are not willing to maintain an attitude or the character of a new man. Therefore, I admonish you today to think about this. The moment you came to Christ, you became a new man because the Bible says, “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new…” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV). Now, if this is so, you and I have a responsibility to align our dealings with the identity of our new self. Refuse to walk in the old ways of doing things and start acting out the scriptures in your life. Stop walking in bitterness, unforgiveness and the likes of it. Start living in the reality of your new self. It is the best thing you can do for yourself as a Christian. Let people see Christ in you. Let your character and attitude make people want to come to Christ and follow Him for the rest of their lives. So refuse to behave in such a way that will make people say things like “I thought he was a Christian!” Rather let people look at you and say, I just want to be like you.

So make a conscious decision today and let God’s word show in your dealings. Study the Bible again and again and get acquainted with the kind of life God has called you to live. Trust me it is the best kind of life. Halleluiah!

Let your character be such that will attract people to Jesus!

I am a new creature in Christ Jesus, therefore I am living my life accordingly. I refuse to act in ways that do not speak well of the Gospel. I declare that henceforth my life will be worthy of the Gospel in all I do in the name of Jesus. Amen!
